The GULFF Hero UV torch is an elegant, highly efficient and innovative solution for curing almost all UV adhesives in fly construction. It is particularly useful for a user who takes photos of flies for social media.
Overall, Hero represents the best in its field. Hero is equipped with a high-quality 5 W LED chip and has a wavelength of 365 nm in line with other GULFF torches, which has proven optimal for UV adhesives. The torch has a special filter that extracts all fluorescent material from the surface of the target but does not illuminate the rest of the environment. This, for example, makes it easier to take photos and takes on a whole new meaning: beautiful fluorescent flies against a dark background. Moreover, the blinding effect is minimal. Undoubtedly, Hero is an excellent product in terms of value for money when it comes to meeting even the high ambitions of a UV torch.
Hero is equipped with:
- USB charging directly on the housing
- 5W/365nm torch with filter
- Rechargeable battery 18650
- USB cable
- 1-year warranty. The warranty covers the torch housing and the LED, not the battery or cable
WHY CHOOSE A UV TORCH WITH A WAVELENGTH OF 365NM IN PARTICULAR?
A UV torch with a wavelength of 365 nm is, in most cases, the best option, optimally suited for curing UV resin. The 395-405 nm UV LED lights that are now commonly used do not provide the same amount of light in the wavelengths that best activate the resin. The 365 nm wavelength Gulff LED produces a light spectrum that better matches the absorption spectrum of the photoinitiator present in most UV-curing resins.
The UV light of Gulff torches appears whiter than the light of lights at 395 nm. This is because the human eye cannot discern UV light when the wavelength is clearly below 400 nm. In this case, the light only becomes visible when it hits a surface that reflects UV light. Experts advise against the use of cheap lights with uncertain wattage for curing resin. Their advertised wattages and wavelengths can vary considerably. It should be noted that, for example, the advertised wattage in cheap versions is often only the maximum possible wattage. There are a number of things that affect the ability to reach this maximum, from the LED to the structure of the torch (or other light source) used.
